// How it works

Financial guidance, built around you.

Circe is not a budgeting app. Not a robo-advisor. A financial confidence guide powered by a proprietary model that accounts for who you are — not just what you earn.

The Circe dashboard

// In three steps

Create your account

Quick signup — just your name, email, and password. No credit card. You are in the platform in under 60 seconds.

02

Tell Circe about you

A short onboarding covers your income, housing, lifestyle, values, and identity. The more Circe knows, the sharper her guidance.

03

Get your plan

A dashboard with your net worth, take-home, and goals — plus Circe on call for every decision.

// Proprietary model

The Circe Index.

Standard financial advice was built for a standard person — usually white, straight, cisgender, no career gaps, single income. The Circe Index corrects for this with four proprietary pillars.

01

Intersectional wage adjustment

Circe adjusts your salary benchmarks, savings targets, and retirement projections based on documented wage gaps by race, gender identity, and sexual orientation. Your "what you should be earning" is calibrated to your actual identity.

54¢Latina women earn per $1 of white non-Hispanic men
64¢Black women earn per $1 of white non-Hispanic men
85¢LGBTQI+ households earn per $1 of non-LGBTQI+

02

Values-weighted allocation

Standard budgets treat every person the same. Circe uses what you said matters most — travel, homeownership, early retirement, giving back — to weight your plan differently. If travel is non-negotiable, it is built into your baseline.

10distinct values Circe uses to shape your plan
combinations — your plan is unique to you
0generic advice — everything is specific to your life

03

Life-stage aware planning

A 25-year-old needs different guidance than a 50-year-old. Early career: build the foundation. Mid-career: maximize and optimize. Later career: catch-up contributions. On a career break: protect what you have built.

4 yrsavg time women spend out of workforce for caregiving
50+age when IRS catch-up contributions kick in
$8Kextra 401k contribution allowed after age 50

04

Compounding wealth gap

Circe shows you the real lifetime cost of your specific wage gap — not as a political statement, but as actionable data. If you are earning $46,000 less than your benchmark, that is over $6.7M compounded across a career.

$700Kminimum lifetime cost of the gender wage gap
$2M+maximum lifetime cost for the most affected women
7%annual investment return assumed in projections

// Common questions

FAQ.

Is Circe a financial advisor?

No. Circe provides financial education and guidance only. Not a registered investment advisor, broker-dealer, or fiduciary. For major decisions, consult a licensed professional.

Is my data safe?

Your financial data is stored locally in your browser and is not sold to third parties. Identity information is used only to personalize your guidance — never for advertising or profiling.

Do I have to share my identity?

No. Every identity question is completely optional. Sharing more helps Circe give more accurate guidance, but it is never required.

How is Circe different from a budgeting app?

Budgeting apps track what you spend. Circe teaches you how to think about money, helps you negotiate, plan for retirement, pay off debt faster, and build long-term wealth — with guidance that accounts for your actual identity and life.

What is the Circe Index?

Our proprietary financial model with four pillars: intersectional wage adjustment, values-weighted allocation, life-stage planning, and a compounding wealth-gap visualizer. It calibrates your guidance to your real world — not a generic average.

Is Circe only for women?

Circe was built with women in mind — particularly to address the gender wealth gap. But anyone can use Circe and benefit from intersectionally-aware, personalized guidance.
